The name stays on the left; up to six items go on the right: the time, an analog clock, the date, or a Home Assistant entity with its icon, showing its state or how long ago it changed, always or only while active. The add-on formats entity text in Dutch and sends it as op: header right after the layout to firmware 0.2.32+; older firmware keeps the clock of show_clock, which now follows the clock item. The firmware draws every value in one font on the name's baseline, centres icons and the dial on the digit height and measures gaps between glyph ink, so the bar looks even; the editor's mockup uses Roboto and the same integer rules. tools/render_topbar.py renders the real LVGL code on a computer (ESPHome host + SDL2). # Installatie en dagelijks gebruik
|

|
|

Open **Nieuw scherm** om een scherm te installeren: sluit het via USB aan op de
|
|
Home Assistant-machine, kies bord, naam en USB-poort en klik **Installeren**.
|
|
Het profiel met unieke sleutels komt in de ESPHome-map van de HA-configuratie,
|
|
ontbrekende wifi gaat in `secrets.yaml` (bestaande secrets blijven staan), en de
|
|
build en de flash lopen in hetzelfde venster; daarna toont het de API-sleutel
|
|
voor de koppeling. De koppeling zelf doe je in Home Assistant onder **Instellingen → Apparaten & diensten** (knop in het venster en op de kaart *nog niet in Home Assistant* onder Mijn schermen). Elk scherm heeft zijn eigen profiel. **Firmware & USB** is
|
|
voor bestaande profielen: controleren, bouwen of opnieuw installeren via USB of
|
|
het IP-adres (OTA). Bestaande ESPHome-profielen in de HA-configmap worden
|
|
automatisch gevonden.
|
|
|
|
Bovenaan de editor stel je per scherm de **Bovenbalk** in: links de naam, rechts
|
|
tot zes onderdelen (tijd, analoge klok, datum of een entiteit met icoon, zoals
|
|
temperatuur, een deur, het alarm of "laatst gewijzigd"). Sleep om te ordenen, tik
|
|
om in te stellen; firmware 0.2.32 of nieuwer tekent ze.
|
|
|
|
Na koppeling via de HA ESPHome-integratie kies je in ESP Screens de tegels.
|
|
Onder **Tegelinstellingen** staan klikgedrag, grotere waarden en mini-schuiven.
|
|
Onder **Scherminstellingen** staan helderheid en standby. **Inspector** helpt bij
|
|
ontbrekende attributen of een offline scherm. Nieuwe kaarten vereisen firmware 0.2.0.
